Revised Guidelines and Practices for Implementing the 2015 Discovery Amendments to Achieve Proportionality
Abstract
The Guidelines for applying the 2015 “proportionality” amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure discuss what the amendments mean, what they did and did not change, and ways to understand their impact and meaning. The Guidelines add some flesh to the bones of the Rule text and Committee Notes and explore how the proportionality amendments intersect with other Rule provisions.
